David joined ExpressPoint in November of 2002 bringing with him an extensive background in executive level management including positions at IBM, Tricord Systems and PRAGMATEK Consulting Group. He holds a Masters of Science degree in the Management of Technology from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from North Dakota State University. Under David’s leadership, ExpressPoint opened
its successful El Paso, TX distribution location and Juarez, MX repair facility. David has changed the Company culture over the last five years by instilling the value of integrity and honesty. David enjoys the closeness and dedication of the management team, having been together for the past five years and appreciates the customer centric attitude and long term commitment of the employees at ExpressPoint (30% of ExpressPoint employees
have been with the company for 10 years or more). David appreciates working with some of the leading players in our service space and values our customer relationships. In his free time, he enjoys camping, fitness, family vacations and participating in his three children’s sporting activities. An avid motorcycle enthusiast, this year will mark David’s 12th trip to the annual Sturgis Rally in South Dakota.
David is seen in the 28,000 sq ft warehouse in ExpressPoint’s Golden Valley, MN facility. In addition to our Minnesota location, we also have warehouses in our El Paso, TX distribution center (50,000sq ft) and Juarez, MX repair facility (17,000 sq ft). These facilities are a part of our ongoing initiative to continue offering industry leading repair quality and service parts logistics fulfillment at the lowest cost
CFO
In 2002 Sandy joined ExpressPoint as the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis becoming Chief Financial Officer in December of 2006. Sandy has had a colorful work history beginning when he was twelve years old, installing fiberglass insulation for $0.75 per hour. He has also worked on a bison ranch and helped to build a home for the manager of the rock band Journey. Sandy received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration
and Economics and a Master of Business Administration from St. Mary’s College in Moraga, CA. His financial background began after college when he worked for Arthur Andersen as an accountant and auditor and eventually moved on to financial management and executive roles at American President Lines, Trimodal, Inc., Distribution Dynamics and U.S. Windpower. Sandy appreciates the passion that the ExpressPoint employees have towards what we
do for our customers. He enjoys our customers’ business complexities and the partnership we have with them to develop unique ways to meet all of their service wants and needs. Sandy coaches youth Lacrosse and likes home improvement projects, spending time with his sons, riding motorcycles and duck hunting in North Dakota.
Sandy is seen here in our machine shop. As CFO Sandy, is aware of costs and invested in savings. ExpressPoint’s onsite machine and paint shops allow us to save our customers money by providing them with a one stop, end-to-end solution for their repair needs. Sandy holds a repaired magnetic stripe reader (MSR). Our team of engineers and machine shop developed a repair process that was able to extend the life of the MSR,
saving our customer over $100K in 2007.
Senior Vice President of Operations
With over 20 years of supply chain-management experience and a Green Belt in Six Sigma training, Senior Vice President of Operations, Kelly Dudek has consistently exceeded goal numbers for ExpressPoint’s SLA’s. Joining the Company in 2003 as the Director of Life Cycle Management, Kelly has developed innovative processes and motivated employees to develop a team approach toward finding solutions for customers. Kelly enjoys the variety
and uniqueness of our customers’ programs as well as the fast paced environment. Her Six Sigma leadership skills have also provided the Company with the opportunity to continue to grow and improve, providing the best possible service for our customers. In her free time Kelly enjoys golf, reading and watching her children participate in sporting activities.
Senior VP of Operations, Kelly Dudek is in our North Tech area where we perform board and whole unit repair. The technicians in this area specialize in all electronic repairs while the team in our South Tech area perform mechanical repairs. Our commitment to quality repair service is demonstrated in our OBF rate. While the industry benchmark is 2%, ExpressPoint had an OBF rate of 0.50% last year.
Vice President of Human Resources
Lorri Anderson joined ExpressPoint in 2002. With over 20 years of human resources experience in a variety of areas, including the travel and banking industries, Lorri enjoys the broad spectrum that her position at ExpressPoint provides. She also values the day to day challenges of learning the complexities of our business. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Dakota and is a certified Senior Professional in
Human Resources. She currently lives on a Dairy Farm with her husband. Lorri loves to laugh and in her free time she enjoys reading, gardening camping and the annual family trip to the Boundary Waters.
Lorri is seen in our shipping area. ExpressPoint partners with multiple Logistics companies to provide our customers with inventory stocking locations around the globe that are closest to them, helping them meet lean field stocking targets and reducing their air freight costs.
Director of Quality & Plant Operations
Tim joined ExpressPoint in September of 2006. With a background in operational leadership and a Black Belt in Six Sigma training, Tim has used his experience to guide the direction of more than 50 Lean Six Sigma projects at ExpressPoint. Tim’s dedication to quality is evidenced by his role as a project advocate for the Quality Assurance teams in both Golden Valley, MN and Juarez MX. Under his mentoring, employees have showed an
enthusiastic response and dedication to the adoption of Lean Six Sigma practices which in turn benefit not only ExpressPoint but also our customers. Tim enjoys ExpressPoint’s commitment to growth and our customers’ willingness to partner with us. In his free time he likes boating, landscaping and travel.
Tim is pictured by our metrics board. As Director of Quality and Plant Operations, Tim carefully reviews the metrics that are set to track processes and performance. By developing a set of metrics, that is visible to all employees, ExpressPoint can guarantee the quality of service delivered to our customers.
Director of Information Systems
Mike joined ExpressPoint in 2002. Originally from the Bay area, Mike moved to Minnesota after leaving the former ExpressPoint plant in Lincoln, CA. Mike’s extensive knowledge of IT systems includes experience as a field repair technician, network engineer and network administrator. His certifications include, Microsoft MCP, MCSA and MCSE. In addition he has two Associates degrees, one in Computer Science and the other in Network
Technology. Mike enjoys the people at ExpressPoint and the unique technical requirements of our individual customers. In his free time, Mike enjoys spending time with his wife and kids, camping, coaching basketball and soccer and playing softball. He tries to get back to the ocean whenever possible.
Mike is pictured in our server room. Mike and his IT team works with our customers to accommodate their individual IT requirements. In addition, we provide them with access to ExpressNet, a database that allows them to track their products and orders 24/7.
Director of Financial Reporting, Planning & Analysis
In February of 2008 Susan Buttner joined ExpressPoint. Susan’s extensive background in finance has contributed to ExpressPoint developing streamlined accounting processes that were conceptualized using a team model. Susan enjoys the commitment of the ExpressPoint staff to developing the best possible experiences for our customers. She values a life balance with work and personal time and enjoys camping, gardening, reading, cooking and parenting.
